Bangle size guide
Bangle sizing is a little different from a ring or bracelet - here is how to get it right the first time.
How bangle sizing works
Indian bangle sizes are written as a number and a fraction of eighths, like 2.4 or 2.10 - this reads as 2 whole inches plus that many eighths of an inch. So 2.4 means 2 + 4⁄8 = 2.5 inches of inner diameter - the straight-line distance across the inside of the bangle, not around its circumference. Sizes above 2.8 (like 2.10, 2.12) keep counting eighths past a whole inch: 2.10 = 2 + 10⁄8 = 3.25 inches.
Method A - measure a bangle that fits
Take a bangle that already slips comfortably over your hand. Lay it flat and, with a ruler, measure straight across the inside from one edge to the opposite edge - that is the inner diameter. Match it against the reference table below.
Method B - measure your hand
Bring your thumb across toward your little finger, folding your hand into its narrowest shape. Wrap a strip of paper or a soft measuring tape around the widest part of the folded hand (usually across the knuckles) and note the length - that is your circumference measurement.
Find your size
Enter a measurement and we will suggest the closest size we stock.
Tip: for hand circumference, wrap a strip of paper or a soft tape around the widest part of your folded hand and measure its length.

These are the standard published conversions for Indian bangle sizing. We check them against our own sizing set from time to time, but if you are ordering a large or important set (like a bridal chuda), we recommend confirming your size with us first - see the message option below.
A few practical tips
- A chuda is worn as a full set rather than one bangle at a time, so how it fits can feel a little different from trying on a single bangle - go by your measured size, not by how loose a single piece feels.
- Our bases are acrylic, which has no give or stretch the way metal or lac bangles sometimes do. If your measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend going up rather than down.
- Hands can swell slightly through the day - measure in the evening if you can.
- When in doubt between two sizes, size up.
